Montanas Play Kitchen

Like I promised, here are the working in progress photos....

The plans...

The drawers.....

The gutted Drawers....
Drawer full of broken up drawers....
Hole for sink....
Cupboard doors on, taps and sink in....

Getting there....

With oven door....

Finished....
So thats it. The kitchen was Drawers (garage sale $5) and has,
  • stainless steel tap set (ex display stock from bunnings $5)
  • Large stainless steel mixing bowl from woolworths as the sink($6 on special)
  • Four stove top elements (painted cds) covered in perspex
  • Two beautiful chrome teddy bears handles ($5 each bunnings)
  • One long chrome handle for oven door ($5 bunnings)
  • Painted dowel for a towel rack
  • Two pots of Nippon sample paint ($6 each)
  • One can of clear coat ($11)
  • Stove top dials and oven dial that turn (I used the old drawer knobs)
  • All of the wood used (except for the oven door and towel rack) was used from the drawers.
Im very happy with it and it cost about $80 all up. Montana is going to love it (she is under the impression a lady has bought it from me for her little girl for christmas)

I am yet to hook up an oven light and switch and change the wood rack to a steel rack for the oven.

Im building Montana a play kitchen for christmas, so I had to sew up an apron, oven mitts and a chef hat....

Im so happy with how they turned out and I'm sure Montana will love them.

Second Santa attempt

Well Montana said she wanted to try again for santa photos, so I took them both back and got......

A Santa photo!!!! Montana forced a smile and cried afterwards but we got one!! Jacob loved it he was cracking up the whole time.

Tree Decorations

I was making Montana and Jacob some Stockings last night but got a little sidetracked and whipped up these instead.....

Between the cat climbing it, the dog chasing the cat up it and Montana trying to grab the cat out of it, my tree is looking really sad. I'm waiting to get a lush tree once they are on sale.

Add the Macadamias.....

And hope they last longer than 1 day :P!!!!!

Fabric Coasters

I picked up a coffee table at a garage sale not too long ago and it looked pretty bare....

Blackboard Fridge

After having my fridge look like this for a while (minus a couple of stickers I started pulling off already).....

and then finally getting it back to this (which doesn't take long for it to get annihilated with stickers again).....

I made it more child friendly without all the horrible stickers......

Some quick things

I bought Montana some plain silver clips and Jazzed them up with some felt and buttons....

I bought some plain T-shirts aswell and we are going out for dinner, so I just added a lil something....

Both these are very quick and simple.
